An extremely bright, medium-light purple Arizona amethyst with blue and pink flashes. Genius cut and polished, this gem is guaranteed to please. Loupe clean (small fingerprint in photo belongs to me, not the gem, sorry!). Four Peaks material is mined the old-fashioned way – miners trek 9 miles up rugged mountain paths to reach the mine, where they dig in timber-braced tunnels with hand tools. The entire mine’s supply is currently sold to China, so this lovely American Amethyst has become impossible to source for custom cutting, but we were lucky enough to run across some in an old collection.
