Unheated Sapphires most inevitably have some “character”, and this Montana Sapphire is imbued with loads of it! Color shifts between silvery outdoors and pastel lavender indoors. Some small inclusions that don’t detract, but rather the amount of silk is just right to lend a “glow” in diffuse lighting, and is visible in hand under strong lighting as a series of “growth lines” that prove it’s unheated status. A very bright stone in hand, ideal for a custom engagement ring. Mined by a small family-owned mine outside Helena, and painstakingly cut in the USA.
