Also known as Chrysocolla/Chalcedony, Gem Silica’s color comes from Copper. It’s mined in only a few Copper Mining locations worldwide, with the Arizona locations being the most sought-after. Durability on these gems is quite good (7 on the Moh’s hardness scale, without cleavage), making them suitable for ringstones!
