Stunningly colored Gem Silica with excellent clarity, cut in a generous pillow shape by one of our expert cutters. There are some visible inclusions and druzy caves breaking the surface, proof of the natural origins of this ultra-rare gemstone. Very seldom anymore do I run across material of such excellent color and translucency! This material is minimally hygroscopic, meaning that if left in an arid environment for long enough it can become more opaque. If this happens, translucency is easily restored by moving the gem to more humid storage or soaking in water.
