3.3ct Gem Silica Cabochon, Peru

3.3ct Gem Silica from the Lily Mine, Andes Mountains, Peru

13.2 x 8 x 4 mm

A richly colored Cuprian Gem Silica, mined high in the Andes Moutains in Peru.  This piece sports plenty of interesting inclusions, would make a stunning piece of statement jewelry.  Gem Silica is technically a cryptocrystalline Quartz, a.k.a. Chalcedony, which is colored by tiny inclusions of Chrysocolla.  It’s extremely stable, and durable enough for daily wear in any piece of custom jewelry, including as a ringstone.  An excellent value for anyone searching for this color in a natural gem material!
