A stunningly colored Indicolite from Nigeria, cut in a classic elogated Cushion with rounded girdle outline. A perfect Medium-Dark Greenish Blue, with a step-cut pavilion for classic “Emerald cut” performance. Some very small inclusions off to one side, hard to see in hand. There is a slight color gradient, visible only under scrutiny in certain lights, a bit more Blue on one end and Greener on the other. A conservative, classy Indicolite, just begging to be prong set – I see it grasped by some sharp claw prongs in 18kt gold…
