Verdant green outdoors, shifting to yellowish green indoors, excellent medium tone – not at all dark like so many Australian Sapphires. Eye clean in hand, there is a small veil of silk across one corner of the crown, not visible at a viewing distance of 12 inches. There is some Blue zoning around the silk that lends the Green tint to this Yellow Sapphire, not visible on face-up. Sustainably mined and conflict free! Would make an ideal engagement ring. I see it set in Rose Gold filagree, perhaps with a warm diamond or two.
